In my early teens, I developed a sort of addiction to all kinds of eye-candy and visual amusements, and was forced to live with it ever since. My descent began after being exposed to bad television and noisy music on a daily basis for an extended period of time. I never thought something like that could have such huge effects on my life, but years and years of abuse eventually took a toll on my body and mind.
There were many paths to recovery from this. Mine involved a few graphic design and animation courses in a fancy design school. It was the start of the replacement and conversion therapy. When you decide to produce a visual content instead of simply consuming it, the process may be frustrating and painful and at first, however, after the initial discomfort I did started feeling better.
After this, I spent several years wondering around different places, trying to make the best use of my newly acquired habit. This included editorial companies, web agencies, design and architecture studios.
But the real turning point was when I entered a video post-production facility operating in the wonderful world of advertising and corporate communications.
As part of ProximaMilano team, I am able to provide a high level of creative quality and diversity, serving major advertising agencies and production companies on national and international campaigns.
While here, I have been gradually expanding my skillset including storyboarding, editing, motion design, animation and compositing.
Lately, I get kicks even by telling other people what to do, in order to create content inspired by thoughtful design and storytelling, making compelling audiovisual experiences for our clients and their audience.
